More Fembot Fun!

From San Antonio, Texas, Hyperbubble is the suPer electronic duo of Jess & Jeff. As described by one fan of the band, they are like: “Human League meets Yazoo - and they have a nice song about a cat - which can't be bad.” We love this description for Hyperbubble’s special brand of word-driven squiggly synth-pop.

The art of songwriting is central to their musical creations, but Hyperbubble can’t resist the lure of the occasional instrumental, and have done remixes for the Mission Giant, Rotten Piece, and fellow Church of Girl Radio Star, Freezepop!

Their lyrics speak of fast cars, fast food, 1-800 numbers and even the occasional love song to their synthesizers. Jeff, who also owns a prized Bee Gee’s lunchbox, employs a galaxy of noise-making machines to create bionic beats, bubbly synth lines, and bouncing melodies. Jess’ voice has been compared to Deborah Harry and Alison Goldfrapp. While these comparisons are fitting, Jess has her own style - from her voice, to her fashions to her attitude.
