Dark and Steamy Pop Rock Sirens

Hailing from one of the last 'affordable' neighborhoods in Los Angeles, Kissing Cousins are causing quite the stir. Proof? The L.A. Times named them "buzz band to watch out for"!

The Silverlake, California based 4-piece is Heather on guitar and vocals, Beth on drums, Rhea on bass, and Kara plays the flute and keyboards. During live performances, Alexis joins in on the glockenspiel and Paula plays violin.

Writers often compare their sound to PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, Blonde Redhead, Portishead - and "Cat Power gone rock". Ranging from dark pop, garage and experimental art rock, Kissing Cousins embrace both the upbeat and shadowy sides of pop and give it their best brooding, experimental art pop interpretation.

Kissing Cousins played their first show in October of 2005 and have already played two short national tours. The four song EP, She's Right, is the band's third EP release. They're fantastic - and we can't wait to hear what comes next from these talented and intriguing women!
