Recorded in NY

Lieselle McMahon writes dark industrial rock songs coated with catchy pop melodies. She is an intriguing woman who taught herself how to program. She rehearsed keyboard lines and learned how to electronically tweak sequences as all in the comfort of her own bedroom. Lieselle began performing in her home of Dublin, Ireland but never quite felt like she fit with bands around her; and that somehow, they didn’t quite share her accelerating ambition.

One day, Lieselle awoke and felt she needed a new adventure and challenge for her music career. She made the trip to New York City and recorded Daddy’s Boy (released in March 2006) with Roger Fife whose resume includes work with Tricky, The Assassins and Antony and the Johnsons. Lieselle’s long tail list of musical comparisons ranges from the sultry electro synths of Goldfrapp to the religious pop melodies of Garbage. Her experiments with rhythmic bass lines, transcending guitars, quirky electronic tampering and her intoxicating supervixen vocal mantras have intoxicating results.

Lieselle is quite prolific and is currently writing and recording her forthcoming debut album, “Sunrise Neon”.
