Shannon Leynn Gallant is half Irish and half Algonquin Indian. She lived in California until she was 17. Since then, she has lived and made music in Tokyo, Athens, Corfu, Albania, and currently in the United Kingdom. Shannon's unique and sometimes tumultuous life experiences have given rise to her beautiful abstract music, all written and produced by Shannon herself.

Each of her songs starts out with a dream, which she interprets through her piano. Later she adds in electronics, strings, bells, and finally her beautifully seraphic vocals. She is inspired by many great female singers including Billie Holiday, Kate Bush, and PJ Harvey. Indeed, someone close to Shannon recently said her songs were like "Tori Amos, Massive Attack, and Bjork sleeping in the same bed."

Her dream is for her music to be heard through out the world - both in person and otherwise. To that end, she has played at Whisky A Go Go, The Roxy, and The Viper Room in LA as well as overseas destinations in Corfu and Albania. We will be checking in on this unpredictable talent in 2007 and hoping for more of her gorgeous music.
